Special Guests from Finland

On 5th November, the daughter and son-in-law of Musa Bigiev (1874-1949) visited theMosque. Musa Bigiev was the first to translate the Holy Quran in the Tatar language. Unfortunately, the manuscript got lost and was never published. Both distinguished guests stayed for some time in the Mosque and were very happy to see the place which holds importance in their history. The late Musa Bigiev visited the Mosque during his stay in Berlin. It was a great honour to meet the distinguished guests.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi Celebrations

On 9th November Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated in the Berlin Mosque. Participants enjoyed the programme and thanked AAIIL for organizing such a wonderful event. I gave a brief speech about the life and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. Arab participants recited qasidas. Children also participated in the programme and recited the Holy Quran. Later the participants had dinner together. I am grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Yasir Aziz, Mr. Ghalib Alali, Ms. Harrisa Aziz and Saleena Aziz for their assistance in arranging the programme.

Participation in Literary Society

On 13th November a well-renowned poet Mr. Wasi Shah from Pakistan visited Berlin. The Pakistani community organized a night in his honour. It was a great honour for me to recite my poem in the progamme and meet this renowned poet and media person.

Participation in All-Religions Conference

On 21st November, the Annual Conference of All Religions was organized in the main City Hall of Berlin. Representatives of all religions participated in the conference. It was a nice programme in which I got a chance to meet representatives of various organizations.

Visit by Church

On 28th November a group of students from the Evangelic church of Berlin visited the Mosque. After the presentation a question-answer session was held. A copy of the German translation of the Holy Quran was presented to the group leader for their library.

Participation in Christmas Celebrations

On 25th December Yasir Aziz and my mother both visited the Danish Church and participated in Christmas celebrations. They presented a cake on behalf of AAIIL with best wishes to the church management and the participants.
