Monuments Open Days at the Berlin Mosque, 12–13th September 2026

The historic Berlin Mosque in Wilmersdorf participated in the Tag des offenen Denkmals (Open Monuments Day), which was celebrated throughout Berlin.
During the two days, approximately 700 visitors had the opportunity to visit the historic Mosque, learn about its remarkable history and architecture, and gain insight into its important role in the history of Islam in Germany. As one of Berlin’s significant religious and cultural landmarks, the Mosque welcomed people from different backgrounds and promoted dialogue, understanding, and appreciation of cultural heritage.
The participation of the Berlin Mosque in the Open Monument Day once again demonstrated that the mosque is not only a place of worship but also an important part of Berlin’s cultural, historical, and architectural heritage.
